I’m freaking lovin’ it

  • Can of chickpeas
  • Half of onion
  • Red chilli
  • 1/4 of teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Spices: Salt, black pepper, tummeric, ground cummin, coleander, parsley,
  • Frying fat
  • Tortilla wraps
  • Greek style joghurt and sweet chilli sauce
  • Cucomber and lettuce for serving

  • Blend chickpeas, onion, garlic, chilli egg together (don’t bled it smooth, it needs to be a little bit chunky)
  • Add breadcrumbs, flour and baking powder
  • Add spices (IMPORTANT– you really need to add LOADS of them, you need to make it more salty and spicy that you would normally do – for some reason a lot of flavour is gone while frying
  • Cover the mixture and leave in a fridge for at least 2 hours
  • Shape little patties, and fry them on both side until golden brown. (PLEASE NOTE – fry one pattie first, if it falls appart add a little bit more egg and flour to the mixture)
  • Serve wrapped in tortillas, with cucomber, lettuces and sweet-chilli yoghurt sause
